Most people utilize headwear but which type should you choose? We are going to see what differentiates one from another and what is the best way to fit them into your personal style.
There are many types of caps available in the market today.
Some of the most common types of caps are 5, 6 & 7 panel, flat bill, curved bill, structured and unstructured, fitted, dad hats, trucker caps, visors and beanies.
Some of our customer favorites are trucker caps, dad hats and fitted caps.
TYPES & CATEGORIES
5 Panel
A five panel cap has five triangular panels. It has a relaxed fit and generally has an adjustable hook and loop closure.
In a nutshell this is a solid option for brands or businesses with a value driven budget.
6 Panel
A six panel cap has six triangular panels, including a seam running down the middle of the front of the cap.
Trucker Cap
A Trucker Cap generally has a cotton twill front and a mesh back with an adjustable snap back closure. Its design includes a panel crafted of plastic mesh in place of the usual four cloth panels finishing the back, are used instead.
The wide, open weave of this mesh help the head to cool quickly, and the plastic mesh is less sweat-absorbent than any type of cloth.
Flat Bill
The flat bill cap has a flat bill as its name suggests. It is a trendy cap and normally worn with the manufacturer sticker that is attached to the bill to highlight the brand and quality of the cap.
The flat bill cap is typically designed to protect wearer eyes from the direct rays of the sun.
Curved Bill
Curved bill caps have a slight curvature bill that could be further rolled to fit the wearer’s head. Therefore, it's a usual practice of cap wearers to bend the sides of the brim to keep the sun rays away from their eyes.
The curve bill cap is a timeless classic type of headwear.
Dad Hat
The dad hat is a soft construction crown; no reinforced panels. It has a slightly curved visor and is adaptable through its back stripe of fabric.
It is very comfortable and needs no special attention when it comes to storage; it doesn't lose its shape. It is ideal for sport and street style.
Beanie
The story goes that in the early 20th century “bean” was slang for “head!”
The fitted beanie is perfect for everyday cold wear. It's available in solid colors with some contrast stripe options to compliment your brand design.
